Hi, I’m Caitlin…
I’m a postpartum doula, living, working and mothering on Bunurong Land in Melbourne’s Bayside area.
Since my heart was burst wide open with the birth of my first daughter in 2019, I have felt a calling to this work. I now have two daughters, Nola and Essie, who I parent with my beautiful partner Heath. We live near the beach and try to spend as much time as we can breathing in that salty sea air.
Before becoming a doula, I worked in the fast-paced world of marketing—where strategy, problem-solving, and wearing many hats were part of the job. I know what it’s like to juggle a million things at once, to be the one keeping it all together. And I also know how deeply transformative (and disorienting) the shift into motherhood can be, no matter how prepared you think you are.
Of course my children consume a lot of my days (and mind!) during this season I find myself in, but my role as “mother” is only a snippet of who I am. The other parts of me could be described as backyard lunch host, sun seeker, rookie gardener, spicy marg lover, spaghetti slurper, doggo mama and chin wagger. I love being surrounded by my people but I also crave my own space. Nothing beats a quiet house and a cuppa in the sunny spot on the couch.
With all of its mess and madness at times, I adore motherhood and I love to adore on mothers. I love to fill bellies, nurture souls and have the big, juicy conversations necessary to facilitate an empowered postpartum experience.
Loving on mothers lights me up!
